Are you an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer Have you worked in manufacturing Do you have or are you studying towards your CIPS qualification"We want someone who can hit the ground running and review our current systems, be analytical look at opportunities for savings and also work with Transport and Engineering teams to establish some clear guidelines and authority levels in terms of buying,negotiating prices and making cost savings. There are real opportunities for the right person here."Working as part of a small team, youll join this highly respected manufacturer as their new Consumables Buyer. About You

Its essential that you have at least 3 years experience as a Buyer - sourcing, negotiating and purchasing..
Youll be from manufacturing - the corporate world is not your bag.
You should be a strong negotiator and confident liaising with suppliers regularly by telephone.
An MCIPS qualification is essential or at the very least studying towards (non-negoitiable)
You need to be tech savvy and ideally have used SAP or a similar ERP system.
You will be resilliant and able to make your mark, at the same time being a team player.
You must be able to commit to working onsite Monday to Friday.

About The Job

Youll join as the sole Buyer, managing the purchase of consumables for the site; over time you may also purchase for other UK sites.
The role will involve contract management, supplier accreditation and vendor approvals.
Youll source new products and new suppliers, ensuring best price, quality and cost at all times.
It will be your responsibility to lead supplier audits.
