What will I be doing as an apprenticeAs a Quality Technician Apprentice, you main purpose will be to deliver an accurate and efficient inspection test facility, of the companys products to the appropriate specifications to ensure they comply to quality standards. Main duties will include:

• Carry out the appropriate tests required for the particular product.
• Ability to measure part dimensions using Micrometer, Caliper Gauge, Shadowgraph and Keyence IM series machine in both metric and imperial units.
• Use and understanding of tensile, fatigue and shear testing machinery.
• Understanding of mechanical drawings, standards and specifications for aerospace components.
• Use of Vickers microscope to check for material imperfections within sectionally mounted parts.
• Record data on the companys systems as required.
• Understanding of all associated paperwork, route cards and processes.
• Ensure the Quality Team Leader is briefed on any exceptions.
• Carry out calibration of in-house tools and equipment periodically as per the requirements of the specific equipment.
• Keep accurate records of such tests.

Other duties will include: Working with other AF Fasteners colleagues to ensure the implementation of the companys policies and goals. Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures at all times.
