Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of bespoke equipment based in the Glossop area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist with the creation of engineeringdesigns of new and existing products.Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

  • Creating manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling software
  • Project managing the introduction of new products
  • Providing engineering expertise to support other departments such as sales and production
  • Maintaining a good knowledge of the products and competitors
  • Resolving testing issues and providing corrective actions
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
  • HND or above within a Mechanical or Design Engineering subject
  • Based in a commutable distance of Glossop
  • Knowledge of Vault is desirable
  • Knowledge of stress calculations, CNC machining and fluid dynamics is desirable
  • Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Inventor or Solidworks
Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £30,000 - £45,000 - depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00. Permanent position.
  • Holiday allowance and pension
