Maintenance EngineerGlossop£36k per annumAbout the role:Time Recruitment Solutions are currently assisting a privately owned family business renowned for the quality of its superior kitchens. Having been established for more than 35 years and roots dating back to the mid 1940s, they now have a solid reputationas a provider to the specific needs of the contract kitchen market, supplying specialist ranges for the public housing sector, private developer market and trade merchants. Job Purpose:To provide comprehensive maintenance cover for the business and support the manufacturing operations to ensure smooth running of production. Responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery and oversee routine maintenance.Main Responsibilities:This is an extremely varied role which quite literally could involve the diagnosis of mechanical breakdowns and their solution one minute, to repairing a hole in the roof or replacing a light bulb the next. * Work with machine operators in order to improve production and reduce costly breakdowns * Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults* Develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and processes* Work with Health and Safety Manager to improve policies and procedures* Diagnose breakdown problems and solution* Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs* Working with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings* Using CAD software and other resources to design the systems required for the project.* Work with the Machine Manager to formulate and implement Lean and continuous Improvement objectives, plans, and projects* Plans own workload to ensure tasks and activities are completed within specified timescales.Skills / Experience:There is a wide skill set required for this role and as such it is appreciated that candidates may not have all the skills required, consideration will be given to this, however, there are some essentials;* Knowledge and experience of Mechanical Engineering* Essential to have in-depth knowledge of CNC Operated machines NC controls* Proficient in the use of CAD software* Knowledge of Lean processes and a Continuous Improvement culture.* An understanding of modern Engineering techniques, philosophies and legal requirements * Broad Engineering knowledge to understand engineering applications of equipment in the factory in relation to Manufacturing processes.* Good general engineering knowledge associated with, Plant, Equipment, buildings and infrastructure.* Health and Safety legislation * Good knowledge and working understanding of IT- MS office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint * Working knowledge of purchasing system and processes. * Broad knowledge and understanding of Companys products, markets, and Manufacturing (Quality Standards, Policies Processes and Systems).If you feel you have the right experience and skillset for the above role and would like to discuss further then please contact Gary Gittings at Time Recruitment Solutions for a private and confidential chat simply click APPLY to be considered.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
