Job Description

HR Manager, Based in Glossop, Salary: £35k, 40hrs per week (flexible around work times and working from home / office)An exciting opportunity for a HR Manager has arisen within an award-winning and market leading supplier of rugs to the retail sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing HR Manager to further their career in a fast moving, business during avery exciting period of growth. Candidates will need to have experience of operating in a Senior HR Advisor/HR Manager capacity, demonstrating an excellent level of employment law knowledge in addition to its pragmatic application in a commercial environmentThe company believe that looking after your team, your customers, your suppliers and the environment isnt just the right way to work its the only way to work.Key aspects of the HR Manager role

  • Providing expert professional advice and support to managers and colleagues on all aspects of people management, which fully reflects the Boards desire to adhere to current employment legislation and best practice and to ensure a consistent and fair approachthroughout the business
  • To identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support business goals
  • Drive the implementation of strategies in the areas of leadership development, talent management, employee engagement and performance management
  • Contribute to Companys growth wherever possible through improving processes, highlighting potential opportunities for expansion and assisting with the integration of new colleagues
  • Devise and implement effective resourcing plans to meet current and future resourcing needs
  • Provide support and guidance to managers across the recruitment process
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the organisation
  • Monitor HR trends throughout the organisation and provide management information on Key Performance Indicators as appropriate.
  • Management and maintenance of HR systems.
Candidate requirements:
  • Experience of operating in a Senior HR Advisor/HR Manager capacity, demonstrating an excellent level of employment law knowledge in addition to its pragmatic application in a commercial environment
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent IT skills (incl. Microsoft 365 and Teams, word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Competent user of HR databases
  • Qualified to Level 7 or degree level within HR. Chartered membership of CIPD
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, and able to work efficiently alone as well as part of a team. You will work exceptionally well under pressure and be resilient to the expectations of a fast moving organisation.
