We are recruiting for a Kitchen Portersto join our Dining Team at Bents!What is the role As a Kitchen Porter / Housekeeperwithin our Dining Team you’ll be integral in the success of our Dining Pot Wash function. Working alongside the Front of house and Kitchen teams you’ll deliver and maintain high standards across all of our1000-seater Dining areas. Whether putting out a large tray of cultery, cleaning our large crockery items or preparing clean kitchen items for our Chef Brigade you will be at the heart of a busy catering team.Your daily role as our Kitchen Porters will include;

• To ensure the kitchen and wash up areas are clear of dirty crockery at all times and to ensure that all clean items are placed neatly in the appropriate place in the kitchen.
• To ensure that the cleaning schedule is adhered to and standards of Health & Hygiene maintained.
• To ensure that all kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and stored in the correct manner so as to minimise breakages.
• To ensure that all breakages and spillages are immediately cleaned up to prevent accidents
• To ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly stored
• To remove and recycle waste from the kitchen.
• Contributing to our commitment to providing a safe working environment by following the Food Hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.

Our ideal Kitchen Porters will have the below skills and experience This role is very hands on and requires someone who has the ability to lift and move heavy kitchen items repetitively for long periods. Therefore it would be ideal for a hardworking, focused team player who can work under their own initiative.

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Youll have the ability to lift and move heavy kitchen crockery items on a repetitive basis.
• Experience of working in a high-volume Catering environment or similar is desirable.
• Shows the ability to work at pace and under pressure.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a large team and be proactive.

Other details of the roles:

• This role offers 30hours, working dayswill include weekdays, evenings and weekend work. A flexible approach is required.
• This role is on a permanent basis.
