Job Description

Do you have experience of Supervising/Leading Teams Responsible for your Manufacturing teamI’m very excited to be working with this well-established Manufacturing company in south Manchester who have been in operation for over 40 years. Due to the organic growth of the business, they are looking to grow their management team. They work with someof the most recognised brands in their industryBenefits:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To support the Workshop Manager to review workloads, resources and tooling to ensure sufficient capabilities are in place to meet demands
  • To lead the shop floor team in the Unit, covering shift patterns as required
  • To co-ordinate allocation of workshop resources to meet demands and training requirements
  • Review technical data and job work scope to assess labour hours and resource allocation.
  • To ensure planning/job progress updates are provided
  • To coordinate with the manager, to plan work priorities and to ensure allocation of resources
  • Raise design queries and action engineering changes and deal with queries across all unit
  • Ensure BoM material requirements are communicated
  • To Lead special projects
  • Attend internal meetings alongside Projects/Design/Planning
  • Implement KPIS’s and OTIF
  • To monitor and reinforce Quality and Health & Safety Procedures and policies
Key Competencies required for the role:
  • Demonstratable people management skill and leadership abilities
  • Ability to lead special projects
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Have an understanding of Lean Management
  • Experience of Managing and Implementing KPI’s
  • Background in Manufacturing procedures
  • Competence in the use of MS Office products
  • Good interpersonal skills to liaise closely with other departments.
  • Report writing for Senior Management
