Job Description

OverviewDue to an internal promotion, we have a vacancy for a HR Advisor in our Quality Assurance Team.Our HR shared services team looks after 14,000 members of staff across the UK who work in our Transport Infrastructure, Secure Infrastructure, Consulting and Utilities businesses.As a HR Advisor in our Quality Assurance team, you will act as a subject matter expert - providing guidance on the full employee lifecycle but with specific focus on visa and immigration, policy review and quality assurance. Our QA team are at the forefrontof ensuring that best practice is delivered, and you will assist both your HR Manager and the wider business units to implement service improvements in a customer orientated, service operating model.This role would be a promotion opportunity for someone with prior experience in a transactional HR Shared Service team, now looking to own some of the more niche/high risk elements of HR process. As a team of four, our Quality Assurance HR Advisors workclosely together but sit in a much larger HRSS function, so there are frequent progression opportunities.This role operates on a hybrid working model, where your time will be split between home and 1-2 days per week in our office in Matchworks, Liverpool. Your hours of work will be 8-4 or 9-5 on a rotational basis however we are open to discussing flexibleworking.What will this role involve

  • Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a specialist area of HR Shared Services.
  • Transacting high-risk processing within your specialist area e.g TUPE transfers, restructures, redundancy exercises, Visa & Immigration.
  • Support Quality Assurance of transactional activity within your specialist area.
  • Ensure collaborative working supporting other HRSS transactional teams when volumes are high in other areas.
  • Provide support to ensure all statutory and regulatory returns are completed.
  • Provide support with customer escalations, issues, problems.
  • Assisting with Audit requests as required.
  • Assisting with documentation/processes review within your specialist area; complying with legislation and company standards.
  • Providing support and coaching to the transactional services management team accordingly.
  • Supporting continuous service improvement within HR Shared Services based upon team and customer feedback.
  • Supporting a culture of multi-skilling within the shared service team.
  • Supporting the transition of projects into BAU.
What are we looking for
  • Prior experience working HR Shared Service team, as a HR Co-ordinator, HR Advisor or similar
  • Experience of working in a team who manage HR policy changes
  • Ideally, experience advising on Visa/UK Right to Work/Eligibility criteria and process
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to quality check HR advice and uphold customer service levels
  • The ability to multi-task, working accurately and efficiently with high volumes of work/data
  • General systems knowledge and computer literacy in Microsoft Office - specifically in Excel
  • Progress towards a CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable)
