London Film Academy is seeking an experienced Head of Courses to join our Senior Management team and lead the Courses team at our busy Higher Education Institution based in Fulham, London. This is a four-day per week role.London Film Academy (LFA) has a global reputation for excellence in film education. We are proud to see our graduates go on to build notable careers in both TV and film all over the world. LFA is now undergoing a huge period of growth and we are looking for an exceptional individual, with experience in both leading academic courses and film practice, to lead and inspire our course teams and strategically support our planned expansion.This is a senior role within the organisation and requires knowledge and understanding of course delivery at HE level. With popular BA and MA courses the post-holder will have oversight over all areas of academic quality, student experience and obligations to necessary stakeholders, including our validating university partner(s) and Office for Students. They will formally take a leading role in academic governance processes and have overall accountability for reporting, budgeting and compliance in all areas of course delivery.LFA prides itself on its close association with the UK film industry and strives to deliver practical relevant training that mirrors the realities of the industry. We expect the post-holder to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of film practice and work with us to ensure that our course delivery is pertinent to the needs and expectations of the industry at large. The role will also have oversight of all short courses, including specialised technical training and courses aimed at younger and under-represented demographics.To support our anticipated growth, we also expect the post-holder to identify and support opportunities for new or revised course provision. This strategic input will require innovation, awareness of the market and be in line with stated LFA Values.
