Job Description

Upper School Teacher North Hill House School are looking torecruitan outstanding Upper SchoolTeacher (KS4+5)to join our Teaching team! Our new Headteacher and leadership team are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expandthe learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting a small class ofyoung people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs. The school has been specifically designed to provide a strong focus for both UK and international students who need different levels of support to succeed, thus allowing young people with autistic spectrum disorders, Aspergers Syndromeand associated difficulties to thrive effectively in an ever-demanding and complex society. Students have ambitions to live and work as self-reliant adults and we can help them to reach their goals with continued support, structure and guidance. The successful candidate will bea qualified teacher, have experience in either Key Stage 3or 4,and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN, along with the following characteristics: Resilience We support some of the most vulnerable children in society whohave varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged. Communication Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamworkand communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff. Organisation You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring eachstudents learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.
