Job Description

Due to a restructure of our international business operations, we are now seeing an Export Sales Manager to oversee a team of 5 sales engineers and international sales staff whilst also having specific responsibilities for developing our market share acrossa variety of industry sectors for our export business. To be successful, you should have experience of international sales into the EU/SEA/NEA/CHINA/Middle East regions. You will also require experience of selling pressure/temperature/flow/level field instrumentationproducts ideally working for a manufacturing organisation in a related sector.The role will be broad and entail pre-qualification of the potential new business company details and products in agreed markets and/or projects, obtaining requests for quotations and following through to successful order placement. There will also be a needto maintain proactive dialogue with all our customers to ensure our products remain at the forefront of their requirements. This will require co-ordination with all the International Sales teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive message is delivered to themarket.We are an international manufacturing company with recently refurbished offices and manufacturing site based in Frimley. We can offer flexible start and finish times, Mon to Fri hours, competitive salary and discretionary bonus, on site parking, 25 days holiday,contributory pension plus additional benefits and the chance to join an international company. The role can be fully office, hybrid or home based with bi weekly on site visits to the Frimley site being required if home working.The key duties of the role will be as follows:-

  • Identify new potential customers and markets.
  • Supply of market intelligence about projects in or for the export business.
  • Develop relationships with end clients so that our products are vendor listed and included in upcoming projects.
  • Develop relationships with the key Project Companies to follow their business globally.
  • Manage the campaign to work with the OEM’s.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of technical pre-qualification information for potential customers in all markets.
  • Interpret customer data to identify the optimal solution and ‘winning proposition’ for their needs.
  • Possess an understanding of process (Oil, Gas, Power, Renewable, Petrochemical, General industry) applications and knowledge of how our products (switches, transmitters, sensors and gauges) are used and specified to win business.
  • Be characterised by-self-belief, drive, ambition and hunger to deliver maximum sales from the region.
  • Managing and mentoring other external Sales engineers & international sales team
To be successful as our Export Sales Manager you should have the following skills and experience:-
  • Instrumentation background - pressure/temperature/flow/level field instrumentation
  • Proven sales experience of 5 years min ideally
  • Ability to travel abroad frequently to visit client sites
  • Sales experience in field instruments within major industrial sectors
  • Good IT skills
  • Approachable, professional and discrete
  • Team player ready to contribute to the goals of the company
