You will ensure the timely delivery of all reports from the department and lead on all the accounting across the function. Building effective relationships both in the field, and across Central Support departments, you will ensure a high level of service at every touch point within your team. You will help define, develop, and improve finance processes and procedures alongside ensuring the continued development of the function and the team members within it. You will be an experienced and strong people manager (who has managed a team of 5+) who will be passionate about developing each member of the team to reach and exceed their potential. You will be confident in deputising in the Head of Finances absence and not only be strong operationally, but also a strategic thinker who can manage change and conflict with ease.Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility:* Help the Head of Finance on overall Finance strategy and take leadership on projects * Creation of MI reporting and supporting in delivering monthly business review * Develop and coach the team through strong leadership skills * Deputising in the Head of Finance role in their absence * Effectively deal with change and conflict when required * Business partner with key stakeholders in the business * Building and maintain excellent relationships with the client teams and internal teams at HQ * Timely delivery of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting* Work with Auditors to complete the annual audit* Transactional accounting including accounts payable, payroll, expenses, banking, cashflow, accounts receivable/credit control (in conjunction with Finance Business Partner)* Ensure financial data is accurate and timely for client reporting requirements* Lead and develop a team of 5, to include carrying out monthly and quarterly reviews* Oversee and assist production of budgets* Responsible for quarterly VAT returns* Ensure HMRC submissions including PSA, P11D, Corporation Tax payments and PAYE/NI payments are made on time* Develop and improve finance processes and procedures* Assisting with ad hoc requests from the Head of Finance* Work with your team to achieve deadlines* Keeping up to date with the latest legislation and ensuring this is cascaded to your team* Updating written policies and procedures* Be a point of contact for key stakeholders in the businessWhat experience & skills do you need to succeed in this role* Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE* Strong people management experience* Previous experience of managing teams of 5+ people * Ambitious and determined with a desire to continuously develop* Strategic mindset with experience of working on strategic finance projects * Experienced in conflict change and management * Ability to review and improve financial processes and continually improve how we operate* Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)* Able to adapt communication to all levels of hierarchy * Confident in communicating with Senior Stakeholders and Clients* Professional approach * Ability to support and develop 5 team members, preferably with previous people management experience * Effective at stakeholder management * Good problem solver with analytical skills* Advanced excel knowledge to include pivot tables and v-lookups * Team player with a great attitude* Strong attention to detail* Great organisational skills* Adaptable and flexible* Ability to multitask * Positive attitude in high-pressure situations* Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively * Pro-active and able to work off own initiative* Detail orientated, analytical and a solution-based thinker * Good time management skillsWho are we and what is it like to work with usWith a decades experience helping some of the worlds biggest brands, we are an industry-leading field and experiential marketing agency with a team of over 1000 across the UK and Ireland, accelerating brand performance.
