Job Description

Verification & Test ManagerLocation: Fowlmere, CambridgeshireSalary: Competitive, DOEContract: Full Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.The Verification & Test Manager runs a department which provides the testing services to the company for new product development of PID sensors & Gas detection instrumentation, production verification, and service. This department will workclosely with R&D and Operations. The department provides a consultancy for the in-line production testing but the responsibility for this will lie outside the department.The Role:Managing a team within a development environment (either Academic or Industrial)The Role will report to the Team Leader and will involve the following: Managing the personnel of the department. Planning the department workflow. Liaising with the testing stake holders to understand the testing needs and hence the priority of the testing. Managing the Department measures (Balanced score card) and leading the improvements. Planning and carrying out of testing Preparing and managing the Documentation of the Testing.The Person:A Science based degree Physics possibly engineering (preferably Chemistry or a strong chemistry bias)This is a hands-on role and the person appointed will:- People management. Project management. Instrument or sensor development. (Knowledge of) Instrument or sensor testing. (Ideally gas) Able to communicate to all levels of the company. Strong Mathematical and analytical skills.
