This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team and be part ofa well-recognised brand associated with quality.Senior Electronics/Test Engineer - The Role:You will be responsible for developing best in class PCB & Product Testing capability and diagnostic support, to ensure that the Manufacturing Operations can run reliably and efficiently. In addition, you will take the lead in managing projects to supportthe introduction of new products, processes and automated test equipment.This role will need advanced electronics engineering expertise, combined with a hands-on approach to provide exceptional diagnostic support to Production & Production Engineering teams.Furthermore, the ability to collaborate effectively with the R&D teams and external suppliers is vital, to deliver robust automated production process and test solutions. You will work as part of the Operations Team reporting to the Operations Director orappropriate Operational Manager.Tasks and Responsibilities: Design & develop automated test & verification processes & solutions to meet the requirements of the Production teams and to develop the capacity needed to keep up with customer demand. Lead projects to deliver New Products & Processes into Manufacturing, utilising best in class automated production process and test solutions. Fault finding & repair of precision electronic PCBAs etc. Provide exceptional support to Production, by conducting structured problem solving and root cause analysis to diagnose issues and to provide robust solutions. Work closely with the production & production engineering teams to resolve high priority issues. Help develop & support the Production Teams by ensuring that in-house processes & rework comply with best-practice and relevant IPC Standards. Support the production of all PCB variants via all the relevant in-house processes & relevant IPC Standards. Maintain high quality documentation using the company documentation systems. Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities to develop & improve our manufacturing capability in the PCBA & product manufacture, production processes and related processes. Work effectively with team members, management teams and other key members to ensure delivery of robust and reliable solutions.Senior Electronics/Test Engineer - Candidate specification:This is a hands-on senior electronics role and the person appointed will be: Advanced Electronic & Electrical measurement competence & capability. Able to conduct structured root cause analysis of advanced & high sensitivity electronics to enable robust problem solving and provide robust solutions. Ability to lead others effectively. The role will require project leadership and also the development of small team of direct reports from apprentice level to experienced engineers. Self-organised, methodical, logical and detail oriented. Excellent written & oral communication skills in English language.
