Job Description

Would you be interested in a 12-month HR Manager FTC We are partnering with a business based between Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds to support their search for their next HR Manager. Reporting to the HR Director and managing a small HR team, you will be responsible for 2 sites in the UK. You will also business partner with the SMT to support them on strategic and operational HR issues. This role requires someone who is passionate about building a HR function whilst developing the organisation culture as they have just gone through a period of change having been recently acquired. You will support the HR Director by executing several HR projects as well as the day-to-day HR operations.

  • Manage the People function across two UK sites, including line management and coaching of two HR colleagues, to ensure their development and engagement, as well as delivery of the HR agenda
  • Coach, advise and work alongside employees and management, providing support across the whole spectrum of people and culture
  • Deal with disciplinary, grievance and performance matters in a resolution orientated and inclusive way, identifying trends and providing solutions
  • Ownership of the UK suite of policies, including designing new policies and ensuring existing ones are kept up to date
  • Generate and present statistical data to help identify people and culture issues
  • Provide guidance and input on organisational design to support the business strategic delivery plans
  • Manage payroll administration monthly, in partnership with the outsourced payroll provider
  • Design and deliver an engagement strategy, including sourcing a new provider and driving actions from key survey data to improve employee experience
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and people & culture best practice
  • Ownership of the offboarding process including exit interviews, reporting and recommendations
  • Support the HR Director with regional and global projects as and when required
You will be pragmatic and positive in your approach as well as a thought partner to the HR Director. You will have established technical HR skills including your CIPD qualification, experience of working in life sciences would be a nice to have however notessential. Hybrid working on offer, 3/2 days a week split, home and office.
