Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN teacher with a deep understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in students Prospero Teaching are working with an alternative provision near Wigan who are hoping to recruit an experienced teacher.We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable students.   • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the specific needs of students in the nurture group.
  • Provide emotional and academic support to students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, implementing strategies to address individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with parents, guardians, and external agencies to provide holistic support to students.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a nurture group setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective strategies to support students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update service (Or willing to complete a new on)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child & adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
