Job Description

Day shift We are currently recruiting Multi-skilled Engineers to join our global food manufacturing site; due to internal progression at our site in WellingboroughJOB PURPOSETo assist, contribute and be a proactive member of the engineering team to provide a total engineering service allowing a consistent and effective operation of all plant and machinery conducting all activities to the appropriate standards throughout thesite in a safe and efficient manner to business agreed targets.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To have knowledge/ experience of the specification and operation of all site equipment.
To work in co-operation with the production and engineering teams/ contractors in ensuring that all plant is operating efficiently and providing optimum performance.
To be aware of and to implement all Company and Site Process and Engineering Standards. Any failures/requests for concessions to be reported to the management team.
To support the system for recording maintenance performance and support the programming of all maintenance resources to maximise their use during normal day and planned shut down periods.
To contribute to the control of the site engineering spares policy in conjunction with the engineering teams / contractors.
To ensure all corrective maintenance requirements are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Communication of progress to the relevant personnel is essential.
To provide a timely and effective response to all plant breakdowns (including out of hours on call)
To aid in the evaluation and implementation of any development / improvement proposals and develop effective maintenance regimes.
To assist and support as appropriate any project work that is carried out on site.
To provide any potential service that will aid in the development of our customer relations.
Contribute to improvement, compliance and awareness of Health and Safety, Environmental and Hygiene standards.
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements including Health and Safety, Environmental, Hygiene, Food Safety, HACCP , BRC..
In conjunction with the engineering teams/ contractors all engineering requirements are maintained within the necessary financial control within engineering.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

2 years Proven Multi-skilled engineering experience
Experience on PLC process equipment & plant
Have reasonable fitness
GSCE Grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent.
Have completed a Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
ONC / NVQ III / C&G 2&3 certificates
17th Edition IEE wiring regulation pass
