We are seeking Part-Time Home Care Assistants, Swansea and surrounding areas of Wales. This job involves visiting vulnerable adults in the community, which is why we do require candidates to hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.No previous care experience or qualifications are required, just a desire to care!Here is an example of one of our clients- Valerie is 89 years old, and she has lived alone since her husband Albert died ten years ago. Valerie has dementia and sometimes feels frightened, confused, and lonely. Her son Peter lives in New Zealand, and he cant visit as much as they would like to.Valerie needs support with various daily tasks for an hour or so, a few times a week. Are you someone who can help Valarie get out of bed in the morning, have a bath, and get dressed Valerie can bathe herself, but she needs a little support to get undressedand into the bath. She may also need reassurance that you are not too far away if she struggles to get out of the bath.It would be lovely if you could make her a cup of tea and some breakfast, get her medication ready and remind her to take it; she might also need you to run the vacuum cleaner around, do a little dusting or put her laundry into the washing machine.Valerie understands that you cant stay all day with her because you have other people to visit.
