Job Description

A large and highly successful manufacturing company selling into international market sectors including Aerospace and Defence requires an Export Compliance Manager, to be based at their Huddersfield, HD8 offices.The role is to ensure compliance with export and import control, trade, security and other compliance related legislation as it applies to the companys international sales activities.Duties and Responsibilities:

Export licensing for controlled goods and technology
Import and export paperwork compliant with national and international government requirements
Generation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
Monitor and implement impact from legislative and regulatory changes
Conduct internal compliance audits and support external regulatory audits

Skills and attributes required:

Experience in export and customs operations
Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle, ideally gained in the aerospace, defence or similar sectors.
Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision
Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications
