Job Description

Job Title: Project ControllerLocation: Farnborough OR Portsmouth OR New Malden - Circa 2 days on siteSalary: £40,000 - £47,000Key Skills: Project, Controls, Schedules, Earned Value Management (EVM), Primavera P6, MSPAre you a skilled and experienced project controller looking for a new opportunity Our client, an established engineering organization, is looking for someone to join their Team and play a crucial role in delivering exciting, high-value, and strategicallyimportant programmes within their business.What the role entails:Some of the main duties of the Project Controller will include:

  • Establishing and managing project schedules
  • Tracking spend and controlling project costs
  • Implementing and utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies
  • Supporting the identification and management of risks and opportunities
  • Analyzing project information for early problem identification and implementing mitigation actions
  • Driving ownership and managing the change of work scope tasks throughout the project team
What experience and skills you need to be the successful Project Controller:
  • Experience working within a Project environment
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining project schedules using toolsets such as MSP, Open Plan, or P6
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques
  • Familiarity with risk, opportunity, and change management
  • A formal project management qualification such as APMP, PMQ, PMP, or Prince 2, or the desire to work towards one
