Job Description

Our client is seeking a Project Accountant, to be financially and commercially responsible for multiple small to medium scale projects spanning their large portfolio.A key requirement for the role is to ensure thorough and consistent collaboration with the Sales & Operational teams in order to help grow the organisations success.This is a real opportunity for someone with Finance experience looking to further expand their career in a large international organisation. The role will allow the successful candidate to work remotely, with infrequent requirements to visit the Office or Projectsites.The successful candidate will:

  • Continuously drive process improvements in the finance operation and development automated & digitalized tools, in an effort to reduce quantity of transactional activity
  • Be comfortable with being accountable for providing reviews on financial performance of the given business areas
  • Work with commercial teams to help pitch, win and execute new project bids, with a keen focus on cross functional collaboration
  • Be accountable for monthly forecasting including tracking & monitoring progress against forecast
  • Ensure timely delivery of month end activities and consistently maintain Data Validation, Reporting & Controlling for this business unit
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of contractual awareness of what performance obligations are agreed with end clients (in line with IFRS15)
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An eagerness to grow professionally and the ability to innovate, identify cases for and implementing of new processes, and be open to exploring new systems to improve financial performance
  • Experience working within a financial or commercial role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative with flexible and proactive approach to work as this role will involve working independently
  • Part-Qualified / Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent and SAP knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential!
