Job Description

To ensure demand is matched with capacity, working with the Production Departments to create a workable manufacturing plan.Client DetailsThe company is a fast-growing engineering business in aerospace industry.Description

  • Act as point of contact for scheduling demand.
  • Receive orders and maintain the demand in ERP recognising fixed time fences and agreed customer enquiries.
  • Ensure correct forecast consumption is maintained in ERP where applicable.
  • Acknowledge demand, either directly or through customer portal where necessary.
  • With input from Sales negotiate with Production Co-ordinates for cell capacity as appropriate.
  • Manage exception process with customer demand e.g time-fence violations.
  • Liaise with customers and sales on missing bookings against the plan.
  • Attend relevant internal review meetings (monthly SOPS, cell capacity, revenue forecast)
  • When notified forward customer feedback and complaints to respective departments through the appropriate channels escalating issues when required to do so.
  • Identify any special customer order requirements and apply export license when required and communicate with the customer in regard to additional document required.
  • Create and maintain customer accounts in the relevant ERP
  • Maintain customer data sheets where applicable, validate updates with Account Managers
  • Identify correct master data is held in Baan to ensure compliance with customers requirements.
  • Maintain customer score cards and liaise with sales and customer to maintain acceptable scores
  • Manage the recovery plan when relevant with the customer.
  • Provide quotes based on approved price list and standard terms and conditions including repairs and seek appropriate approval.
  • Provide customer quotes not included in a price list or to non-standard terms as agreed with the Sales Manager.
  • Support the Sales Manager/Account Manager with the forecast and budget process including input to appropriate forecasting tools.
  • Support input to business reporting processes - order bookings, sales revenue, arrears forecasting, on time deliveries, sales and order variation verses plan, weekly/monthly report.
Profile
  • Professional and able to deal with and respond to demanding customers
  • Knowledge of on-line entry systems and of MRPI manufacturing systems.
  • Good customer interaction background, including customer relationship management.
  • IT skills and competence to use PC packages, ERP systems, excel and access database.
  • Competence with sales forecasting and pricing tools.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry and previous sales knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent communication/inter personal skills
  • Great approach to work and ability to work with customer outside UK time zone
