Job Description

Customer Support Executive - Software, GIS Systems, SaaSFull time - Hybrid, 3 days in office - Farnborough Up to £25,000 + Fully Comprehensive Benefits and Career Development. Applause IT are looking for a Customer Service Executive to join a market leading bespoke software solutions provider, powering the performance of government and industry, driving productivity and a better experience for everyone. This is ideal for anyonelocated in the western home counties: Hampshire, Surrey borders near Farnborough, Woking, Guildford, Bracknell and surrounding areas.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a customer service background to become part of our clients Customer Operations team, taking on a diverse and fulfilling role. This opportunity not only provides avenues for further training but alsosets the stage for a rewarding career.You will join a team of seasoned professionals who are ready to assist you in making a swift impact. Our clients are especially interested in candidates who can start promptly, possess a calm demeanour, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn.Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Handle initial inquiries from customers using their online map shop, responding via phone, email, and live chat to facilitate access and download of diverse mapping data. The customer base ranges from one-time domestic purchasers to regular business userswho rely on their services daily.
  • Ensure resolution of customer issues or escalate them within the business when necessary.
  • Support the sales team by generating quotations, delivering them directly to customers, raising invoices, and processing payments and contracts as required.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders.
  • Attend Support team meetings and regular Sales/Marketing/Support team meetings.
  • Gather valuable feedback and communicate it to the Head of Customer Operations to contribute to ongoing improvements in our products and services portfolio.
  • Maintain a high standard of administration in our systems, involving tasks such as adding new users, updating office locations, managing billing details, and adjusting account permissions.
The successful Customer Support Executive with have the following experience & attributes:
  • Background in the IT Services or SaaS software industry in a similar role.
  • Can do attitude!
  • Attention to detail when completing tasks and inputting data
  • Excellent listening and communication skills - with strong written and verbal skills in English
  • Skilled MS Office user
  • Previous experience of Salesforce would be beneficial
