Job Description

Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the Southwest of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Maths to join the team at HMP Eastwood Park.Day to day duties

  • Preparation, assessment and marking.
  • Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
  • Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress.
  • Organisational and administrative work.
Required skills and qualifications
  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
  • Must possess, or be willing to gain, a recognised Teaching Qualification within the first two years of service (with the assistance of Weston College)
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills

The prison is dedicated to creating a safe and educational environment for women, equipping them with essential skills to enhance their reintegration into society and reduce thelikelihood of reoffending.
