Job Description

Do you have knowledge of Maths that you would like to pass onto others Have you ever considered teaching within a prison environmentWeston College are the education providers at HMP Eastwood Park, and we are looking for a full-time Lecturer in Maths to join our team.The successful candidate will be delivering Maths courses, and completing other tasks relating to teaching. This will include, but not be limited to: planning lessons, assessing and marking learner work, managing learner behaviour.You will need to have a degree-level qualification in Maths, or a similar subject. Ideally, you will also hold a teaching qualification, although this isnt essential as we can support you to gain this whilst in post. Previous experience within a prisonenvironment is also not essential, although would be a benefit.You can find out more about this role in the job description and person specification which is attached above.As this role is based within a prison, the successful candidate will need to obtain the relevant security clearance before starting in this role.
