Job Description

Contract Personnel are pleased to be working with one of the top manufacturers in the Engineering Design industy, and are looking for a Packing & Despatch Cell Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.This post is a key role within the company and will see the ideal candidate supporting the Distribution arm of the business, and ensuring that they deliver each product efficiently.Primary accountabilities:

Supporting the packing, transport and distribution processes, ensuring the efficient delivery of products to customers.
Aim to create and sustain a zero-harm environment by meeting all policies and procedures relevant to the area.
Liaise with the Distribution department to coordinate collections ensuring that sufficient preparation is carried out, materials identified and made ready in advance to support efficient loading.
To work closely with the Packing Department to ensure the most efficient and appropriate packing methods are used relative to the type of shipment.
To set the standards to promote excellence in terms of Safety and Attitudes throughout the business.
To manage driver arrivals/departures and the loading of the vehicles.
Ensuring that all required paperwork is signed, collated and passed to the distribution team.
Collate orders for readiness of despatch.
To sort and prepare sales orders for despatch in advance of collection.
Assist Goods In department with unloading when required.
To provide necessary support to the Distribution Manager.

B1 & B2 forklift licence

Proven work experience gained within a similar environment
