Job Description

We are looking for an Business Support Officer to join our Business Support Team based in Eye, Suffolk.The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of£23,194 per annum.Required as soon as possible.About the Business Support Officer role:The Business Support Team is a small group of dedicated staff creating the hub of operations here at Families Together Suffolk.As a Business Support Officer with a focus on volunteering you will help to promote our work through various media and increase the recruitment and retention of volunteers across the organisation. You will be a port of call for internaland external stakeholders and build relationships with other organisations to help achieve the best for the families and children we support.This is a varied and interesting role which requires initiative and motivation to work remotely and as part of a team.What we are looking for in our Business Support Officer:You will:

  • want to be part of a team and support families
  • be positive and proactive
  • be good with people, the public, families, volunteers and colleagues
  • be able to create order out of chaos
  • be a trouble shooting detective with a keen eye for detail
  • have great IT skills and be familiar with social media and websites
  • be patient and supportive, able to coach or train others
  • have a proven ability to enhance and develop partnership working
  • work well as part of a team and to overcome the issues of remote working in the community and working from home
  • require a full, current driving licence and access to a car due to the nature of the job and the rural area
  • be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS which will be arranged by us.
As our Business Support Officer we will offer you:

About us:We are a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with young children and have been operating in Suffolk since 1983. Families and communities are at the heart of everything we do. Our friendly team of staff, trustees and volunteersare spread throughout the county working in an outreach capacity with a shared base when required.Our Family Support Coordinators help families who have a child or children up to the age of 12 navigate the challenges of early parenthood. Services are delivered through home-visiting, group work and workshops/ projects. We tailor support to the individualneeds through our services and through support or referrals to use external agencies with the overall aim of ensuring children in Suffolk have the best start in life.You will have access to our office in Eye spending 2-3 days per week there and 2-3 days working remotely from home or other locations.
