Pre-operative Assessment Clinical Lead LocationNational (across Manchester, Birmingham and London) Salary competitive (dependent on Skills & Experience) + benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)About the facility: HCA Healthcare UKThe Worlds largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care.From complex care to straightforward procedures in both adults and children, HCA Healthcare UKprovides exceptional care across our six world-class hospitals, clinics, outpatient and diagnostics centres, and NHS partnerships.HCA UK are incredibly proud to be awarded Private Hospital Group of the Year2020 at the Health InvestorAwards.About the role: As the National Pre-operative Assessment Clinical lead, you will have overall responsibility for pre-operative assessment services across the HCA Hospital network in the UK.Youwill support clinical quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiencies in line with national standards and will pull together multi-disciplinary teams focussed on designing and implementing evidence based, standardized pathways, offering HCA patients world-classhealth outcomes.Your role will be responsible for establishing successful reporting mechanisms to provide assurance about compliance to executive level and be accountable for developing the service and managing improvement projects where neededfor example pre-habilitation services for patients, reviewing incidents and any actions required.Duties and responsibilities

Have a long-term vision for pre-operative assessment services that they can clearly communicate to key stakeholders
Ensure pathways are established in a way that uses technology to offer patients the best possible service and clinical teams the most efficient ways of working
Explore growth opportunities and areas to develop services for example cross-site working or out of hours services
A responsive approach, effectively prioritising competing demands, instilling energy and purpose to the clinical teams
Facilitate cross-site working and learning between sites where appropriate.
Ensure processes are in place to optimise patient throughput and deliver safe and efficient patient pathways.
Use new technology and reporting method where appropriate to deliver operational and strategic objectives
Ensure all standards of practice support outstanding regulatory compliance.

Skills and experience

Significant experience in Pre-assessment speciality
Recognised qualification in Pre-operative management
Knowledge of national standards, governmental regulations and compliance requirement
Experience of working in a lead role within a pre-operative assessment team
Experience of working with clinical teams to support change and projects.
