Job Description

HCA UK are incredibly proud to be awarded ‘Private Hospital Group of the Year ‘ 2020 at the Health Investor Awards.Job -Deputy Pharmacy Manager/ Lead Clinical PharmacistLocation - The Lister Hospital, LondonContract Type - Permanent, 37.5 hours per week on a shift basis each week (8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm or11am to 7pm).Weekends on a rotational basis 9am to 2pm but can be longer and there is also a requirement to be on-call.Salary Range - Competitive (dependent upon skills and experience) As Deputy Pharmacy Manager/Lead Clinical Pharmacist you will develop and lead the pharmacy department in the provision of quality, up-to-date clinical pharmacy services which consistently meet .the needs of all clients within hospital.Attractive and competitive salary, dependent upon skills and experience, along with access to great employee benefits such as private healthcare, gymflex and the option to buy and sell holiday.Duties and responsibilities

  • To oversee all ward based clinical services to ensure it is efficient, effective and safe, and also overall clinical responsibility for HDU/ITU Departments.
  • To evaluate and re-shape existing clinical pharmacy services to give emphasis to patient focused care.
  • To lead on best practice in current and future thinking in the development of the clinical practice standards.
  • To manage the training and development of all clinical pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals in relation to medication management.
  • To develop and oversee clinical pharmacy services to clinical areas and work closely with the pharmacists across other sites within the HCA group.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the Pharmacy Manager within the scope of the role
    • Skills and experience
  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Post graduate clinical qualification e.g. diploma/masters in clinicalpharmacy or equivalent.
  • Extensive relevant hospital experience
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy Systems
    • About the Facility: The Lister Hospital and its outpatient centres are located in the heart of Chelsea, and have consistently provided care and treatment in London for over 30 years. We offer access to leading consultants from Londons top teaching hospitals and contemporary treatment, with several highly specialised units including fertility, gastroenterology medicine and orthopaedics and surgery. With 60 beds across three floors, we offer a specialised service, bespoke to our patient’s needs. Our six-bed critical care unit provides dedicated specialised care to seriously ill patients with a range of surgical or medical conditions.
