HCA UK are incredibly proud to be awarded Private Hospital Group of the Year2020 at the Health Investor Awards.We are looking for Radiographic Department Assistants to join our team for Bank shifts starting ASAP. We are looking for candidates who can cover ideally 3-5 days during the week with shifts varying from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday at the below sites:The Wellington Hospital & Platinum Medical Centre LondonEstree Waterfront(The Waterfront Business Park, Elstree Rd, Elstree, Borehamwood WD6 3BS)Golders Green Outpatients & Diagnostics site(296 Golders Green Rd, London NW11 9PY)Job DescriptionAs Radiology Dept Assistant you will assist Radiographers with their day to day roles; supporting procedures, meeting and greeting patients, completing necessary documentation.This is an advert for Bank staff.Duties &Responsibilities

  • Assisting with procedures in the Ultrasound, CT, MRI
  • Assist with procedures in any of the Imaging room as considered appropriate by the Nursing Sister and documented in the role competencies.
  • Meet and greet all visitors to the Imaging department to include patients, visiting sales reps and Consultant Users.
  • Assist the Consultant Radiologists in the performance of their examinations, being amenable at all times to a broad spectrum of requests.
  • Participate in the General Administration of the department office, booking out reports, producing CDsand IEPs (Sending Images to patients via IEP)
  • Book patients exam on Meditech
Skills and experience
  • Acute Hospital Healthcare experience essential
  • Radiology Department experience is desirable
  • NVQ3 in Health Care isessential
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with working patterns
  • Competent IT user
