The Company supplies materials which are used for research, development and specialisedmanufacturing applications.Job Overview:The role of the Account Manager is to create opportunities to grow business within the existing customer base, as well as prospecting for and supporting the development of new or high potential customers. This is either an office based or a field-based rolewith the expectation the employee will spend an amount of their time out of the office visiting customers if office or field based.Though managing a portfolio of customers that will most effectively be grown by Internal or External Account Management, they will support (and be supported by) other Account Managers in their region (who themselves will have their own portfolio) and workclosely as a team.The employee would be expected to work to sales targets while maximising both margins and gross sales.
