Job Description

RM Recruit are excited to be working with a dynamic organisation based in Erdington who are on the lookout for a diligent, driven Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for circa 3 months with a view to transition into permanent. The idealcandidate will be immediately available or available on short notice.As a Finance Assistant, you will support the transaction team in maintaining strong financial systems and monthly controls. You will work closely with the Head of Transactional and Team Leader to provide effective control of financial resources.The responsibilities of the role consist of but are not limited to:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Payment Runs
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Resolve day-to-day finance queries that may arise
  • Raise invoices on a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Support the Head of Transactional in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Liaise with suppliers on a day-to-day basis
  • Keep accounting system up to date by posting all entries accurately
  • Manage debtors to ensure payments are received on time
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Assist the wider finance team as and when required
As the ideal candidate, you will be part AAT qualified or qualified by experience. A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential for this role. You will be immediately available/available on short notice and possess good, practical knowledgeof accounts payable and receivable. This role will be based at the client’s office in Erdington. You will be an organised and confident communicator with the ability to work on own initiative. You will possess a positive, personable attitude with the abilityto manage time effectively and prioritise workload efficiently.
