Job Description

Experienced Inventory & Procurement Analyst, with extensive experience in crunching supply chain data to enable commercial business decisions, sought to work in Elstree & Borehamwood.Reporting to the Group Inventory Manager you will be responsible for developing and driving new insights into the supply chain performance through data analysis and interpretation, identifying and implementing procurement process improvements across thebusiness and providing routine and ad hoc information to the management to support operational strategy.Key Aspects of the roleStock and Procurement

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and stock shortages
  • Maintaining and creating product master data
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Tracking shipments and addressing any delays
  • Receipting of deliveries on ERP system, posting final available quantities
  • Analysing and evaluating supplier product portfolios and negotiating pricing
  • Monitoring product price changes
  • Coordinate product sourcing, Supplier selection and approval processes
  • Working with lab support to set up and monitor standing orders and delivery schedules
  • Identifying the occurrence of aged and obsolete stock
  • Assisting with inventory audits across sites
Analysis and Reporting
  • Creating new reports and updating existing reports
  • Producing and monitoring inventory metrics
  • Undertaking root cause and trend analysis
  • Producing monthly operational reports
  • Producing ad hoc reports required by management
The ideal Candidate
  • Experienced individual in areas of Materials, Stock and Inventory planning ideally from a multi-site warehouse/supply chain environment.
  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous experience in an analytical role analysing and crunching large data sets
  • Applicants must have managed distribution out to sites from a Group perspective and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff across Operations and Finance.
