Job Description

Job descriptionOur client is a small setting nursery, based in nature and is influencedby the Scandinavian sentiment. We are looking to expand and seeking a deputymanager to join our friendly team; to lead, inspire and elevate our childcare tothe highest of standards.Our nursery is registered to look after 28 children and aims to create a safe, funand stimulating environment whilst encouraging learning through play.Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
  • Driving License
  • 2 years experience in childcare
  • English qualification (GCSE or above)
Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery and assist the Nursery
  • Manager with administrative duties associated with the management of
  • the nursery.
  • Maintaining records on children and families.
  • Maintaining processes and keeping personnel records.
  • Maintaining effective methods of communication with children, staff,
  • parents and carers in line with the statutory framework and aiming for
  • Ofsted excellence.
  • Recruitment and retention of staff and arranging staffing/rotas in
  • accordance with statutory regulations and budgets.
  • Engage and encourage the children by developing and maintaining
  • professional relationships with parents, local authority departments,
  • regulatory bodies and other agencies.
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements
  • of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Required Skills:
  • Having sufficient knowledge and experience in administrative duties.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to enhance the experiences of children and find new ways
  • to improve teaching methods.
  • Having sufficient experience of managing a team within a nursery
  • setting.
  • Exhibiting a passion for seeing the children develop, grow and progress.
