Job Description

We are C.C. & R.J. Emerson Ltd, a family-run haulage company thats been trading for almost 100 years. We are well recognised and regarded in the Ellistown/Coalville area as a reliable haulier but also as a great company to work for.Are you an experienced transport planner, looking for your next challenge We currently have a full-time vacancy for an experienced transport planner to plan and allocate jobs to our drivers. We are looking for someone with a background in heavy bulk haulageto allocate work to our drivers on a mix of walking floors, scrap, ali bodies and 8-wheelers. The ideal candidate will be well connected in the industry. Our depot is in Coalville but this role is suited to remote working.Desired Skills

  • Experience of TransMaS transport planning software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • An understanding of compliance within the transport industry.
  • Ability to build positive working relations with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Must be IT literate (Including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite).
  • The ability to work under pressure within a busy transport office.
  • Experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business.
This is a full-time role, predominantly Mon-Fri. You will receive 28 days paid annual leave a year, company pension, a competitive salary and company phone + laptop. The role is performance based with a basic salary + commission.
