Job Description

Company description:Exertis is an industry leading distributor of technology products and specialist services. Our customers are retailers and companies that resell technology products that people use every day in their home, office or whilst on the move. Chances are theseproducts have passed through one of our logistic centres or that a technology solution has been prescribed by one of our expert teams.Job description:The Warehouse Manager is required to Lead the warehouse operation in Elland (and potentially various satellite site around the UK), leading a team of over 140 people in all areas from Goods in through Despatch to Returns. The ideal candidate for this rolewill come from a fast-paced time critical distribution environment and have a lead from the front work ethic.Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve a high level of H&S awareness and control
  • Assist the Supplies Board to develop and deliver the operational strategy
  • Liaise strategically with suppliers, customers & third-party carrier providers.
  • Set, manage and review KPIs for each section of the warehouse.
  • Manage the teams consistently and encourage a collaborative working environment.
  • Liaise with all departments within the business and report on SLAs
  • Monitor daily order flow and manage resources accordingly.
  • Keep all staff information and development plans up to date on the HR hub.
  • Maintain clear communication channels both internally and externally.
  • Create new processes and procedures where required.
  • Demonstrating strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the Group Business Conduct Guidelines
  • Develop team members through the learning applications on the HR hub
  • Ensure our culture of Diversity and Inclusion is central to all policies.
Skills and Experience
  • Solutions-focused with strong communication skills
  • Computer literate, including ExcelWord
  • Deal with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Experience of leading a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Experience of Facilities Management an advantage.
  • Experience of Managing a Third-Party Courier
  • Practical experience of setting up new warehousing facilities.
  • Adaptable and logical
  • Work under pressure
