Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain ManagerLocation: Elland - (Hybrid)Salary: >£50,000 + benefitsEstablished in 1989, Our client is the UKs leading passive fire protection specialist, supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to public and private sector organisations across the country.With offices nationwide, this is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking, modern construction business, that genuinely cares about its people.You will be responsible for implementing the Strategic Supply Chain Strategy at Business level, managing key members of the supply chain (internally & externally) to ensure the processes are managed effectively to maximise profit, value and opportunity.Responsibilities will include:

  • Make business decisions based on conclusions, business to business plans and market understanding
  • Select suppliers using a business-based comparison (commercial / operation) to generate a shortlist and recommendation
  • Maximise value by considering alternative options - product / programme / business opportunities
  • Understand supplier product and performance against the clients strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR)
  • Have a detailed understanding of offering from sub-contractor against the clients strategic targets including mutual business benefits
  • Report performance and strategic information and metrics to Business leaders.
Experience / Skills Required:
  • Strong procurement experience within the Construction industry
  • Managing change projects
  • Practical applications of H&S regulations within the industry and business Construction subcontractors and trade knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with People management
  • Negotiating and influencing including rebates
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills
  • IT skills (e.g., Word, Excel)
  • KPI monitoring and analytical skills
