PURPOSE:To support the Head of Finance in improving strategic decision making, by collaborating with all functions to ensure accurate and timely data is used to analyse the numbers, report trends and management of financial reporting.ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Group Budgets and Forecasts
  • Cash Flow Management
  • Management Reporting
  • Month End Processes and Reconciliations
  • Supporting Internal and External Audits
  • Supporting other Finance Team tasks as required
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Group Budgets and ForecastsCollaborating with Head of Functions to prepare annual budgets and monthly reforecasts
  • Reviewing, analysing and reporting on budget performance, providing guidance to ensure effective budget management across the Group
  • Providing a business partnering approach to financial management
  • Cash Flow Managementcollating and analysing cash flow forecasts for review by Head of Finance
  • Working closely with Commercial colleagues to ensure integrity of cash flow data
  • Management ReportingPreparing financial reports for various levels of management and providing relevant analysis to support business decision making
  • Continually refining and developing management reporting alongside systems development, to ensure reporting remains fit for purpose
  • Developing processes for identifying contractual risks and monitoring financial Key Performance Indicators
  • Month End Processes and ReconciliationsManagement of month end close processes, overseeing the journaling, cost close and involvement in the CVR / WIP analysis and review process
  • Primary responsibility for ensuring all ledgers in Group companies are fully reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Day-to-day responsibility for financial processes in the Groups Joint Ventures and associated reporting
  • Overseeing VAT and VAT analysis
  • Financial SystemsSupporting the Head of Finance to ensure the financial systems are fit for purpose, continually improved and change implementation is managed effectivelyguaranteeing the accuracy of the data
  • Supporting internal and External AuditsActing as first point of contact when liaising with internal and external auditors
