Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.We are currently seeking to appoint a Residential Safeguarding Officer to be responsible for the safety and security of our residential students and to provide support for students appropriate to their age and needs. You will maintain an overview of studentwelfare and comply with all health and safety procedures.Ideally you should have previous experience in a similar role working directly with young people. An SVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject e.g. social care would be beneficial. A first aid qualification is essential (or the willingness topass this within a reasonable timeframe).The working patterns for the roles are, 5.00pm to 9.00pm Monday to Wednesday (term time only 35 weeks per annum)AndFriday evenings 4.00pm to midnight; Saturdays and Sundays midnight to mid-day and mid-day to midnight (alternating weekends term time only 20 weeks per annum).(Alternative working hours for the weekend shifts can be agreed by negotiation)For more detail regarding key duties and responsibilities, and a list of essential and desirable skills/qualifications/experience required for the role, please refer to the Job Particulars document.
