Equestrian Facilities ManagerScottish National Equestrian CentreSRUC Oatridge, West Lothian£37,530 - £44,153 per annum (under review) REF: ACF/SNEC/080/21Scotlands Rural College (SRUC) is unique in Scotland and one of the largest organisations of its kind in Europe. Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development inagriculture and rural sectors. The Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC) based at our Oatridge Campus, is a modern venue for equestrian sports and activities. It currently boasts fantastic facilities, including 80m x 40m international 400-seater arena,60m x 25m warm up arena, 110m x 80m outdoor turf arena. The centre is used both as an educational and training facility for SRUC students and as a commercial equestrian venue.SRUC is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable person for the role of Equestrian Facilities Manager. The purpose of this role is to manage all the equestrian facilities at the Oatridge campus which includes the Oatridge Stables and the ScottishNational Equestrian Centre (SNEC) and to interface with the education and training programmes at Oatridge. The stables part of the role includes care and management of up to 30 horses. The role covers the management, operation and promotion of SNEC. The postwill include lead responsibility for the reputation of Oatridge equestrian facilities and SRUC and positioning as a key education and training resource and a facility for the national equestrian sector. The post will also involve devolved budgetary responsibilityand accountability for the Oatridge equestrian facilities.This role is a people facing activity and will require experience from a wide range of business processes with knowledge of the Equine industry. Applicants should have experience of managing a small but diverse (in terms to working patterns and level of ability)team and proven yard management experience.Candidates should possess a recognised education or training qualification equivalent to HN level or degree in the equestrian sector, or significant evidence or practical experience in the sector.
