Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.Reporting to the Registrar, the purpose of this role is to ensure that SRUCs student-facing activity is data driven, with relevant, accurate and timely data available for both external reporting and to help inform decision-making at all levels in a highlyresponsive way.The successful candidate may be based at SRUCs Oatridge Campus in West Lothian as part of the Academic Records team within the Registry function. Consideration will be given to other SRUC Campus locations.Scope of role: Work under the guidance of the Registrar to manage, develop and operate a student records system in support of the needs of SRUC Each postholder will be responsible for both FE and HE data Data validation: ensure that data entered in the student records system is accurate and up to date Provide reports as and when requested by the Registrar and Deans of Faculty, and by other staff as appropriate Be responsive to a wide range of requests from staff for specific customised reports, and other assistance as required Act as a contact for external partners including HESA, FES, SFC, SQA, SAAS, SLC, the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow and other awarding bodies Collate and prepare data in order to provide accurate, consistent and timely reports and statistical returns to the above external partners Maintain up to date knowledge of the requirements of the above external partners Prepare for and facilitate audits by external partners Develop online portals and dashboards to allow academic staff to view progress of both individual students and cohorts of students, attendance records and other academic records in real time Provide Management Information System support to staff e.g:o Take proactive steps to enhance accuracy of data and staff compliance with relevant processeso Organise and deliver relevant staff developmento Support the development of MIS use in other areas/teams as and when requiredo Develop integration with other systems Work in close partnership with Data Officer colleagues to ensure a consistent approach, and to develop and implement systems, policies and processes relating to student records and reporting - leading on projects where applicable Deputise for the Registrar as and when requiredFurther details on the requirements of this role can be found in the Job Description document which you must read before applying for this role.
