Job Description

Summary Were looking for someone who enjoys baking to join our wonderful team here at Dyffryn Gardens. Please note that internally, youll be known as a Cook.The Hours: 832 annualised hours per annum. Hours will flex to reflect seasonal demand and opening hours and can be discussed further at interview stage.The Salary: £9,152 pa (£21,450 FTE pa) / £11 per hourDuration:Fixed term until 28 February 2025Interview Date: 24 January 2024This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. What youll be doing The main focus of your role will be baking and cooking following our National Trust Cookbook, which will include cakes, bakes, and scones. Preparing one pot and soups and any Local Welsh dishes.This includes cooking off sausage rolls and pasties, preparingtoasties, stocking cakes and bakes ready for the café opening at 10am.Youll need to keep cleanliness and compliance within the Kitchen environment and help to complete daily checks, paperwork and ensure allergen standards are adhered to. Youll also help with deliveries, stock rotation and then clean down the kitchen readyfor the next day.Were looking at either a 8.30am or 9am start daily - finishing around 12pm or 13.30pm (depending on seasonal opening hours).Some training will take place at our neighbouring property, so transport is required.Please also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.
