Joining our team as our Commercial Assistant you will also be responsible for but not limited to;Key duties and requirements

  • Assisting in the processing of payments for subcontractor, directly employed and customer service payments.
  • Recording and monitoring weekly labour only contractor payments.
  • Requesting, collating and recording sub-contractor and Health and safety documentation for review and approval.
  • Preparing subcontractor tender packages and collating returns.
  • Maintaining new and existing contractors within the COINS ERP system.
  • Maintenance of the internal cost matrix.
  • Collating and processing clients choices forms and orders for each plot sale.
  • Tracking and raising payments for NHBC plot registrations and building control fees.
  • Assisting in the preparation of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the commercial team.
  • Utilising COINS, to create orders in support of the Quantity Surveyors.
  • Updating payment records, preparing and issuing of pay less notices.
  • Providing general administration support to the wider Commercial team as required.
Who are we looking forThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience within a similar role, providing assistance to a finance or commercial team whilst also possessing strong administration skills. Experience of working for a housebuilder or constructioncompany would be advantageous however, is not essential.A self-sufficient, experienced administrator with the ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication whilst also working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is essential.Strong organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail are also an essential part of this role.You will also possess:
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience of the COINS ERP system is desirable, yet not essential as full training will be provided.
  • The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
