Job Description

Salary: £highly competitive + valuable benefitsAbout the role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Projects Engineerto join an enthusiastic team delivering novel foundation testing solutions to academic and engineering communities across the UK and overseas.As the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliance company, we are client focused and quality driven. Now we need a Technical Projects Engineer to assist in the planning, design and implementation of technical research projects based on applied load testing and foundation element response. Working across the UK and with the potential for overseas travel, you will ensure that our projects are carried out to stringent specifications with the highest possible quality. Utilising bespoke, in-house hydraulic and electronic systems combined with extensive, high-accuracy instrumentation, we deliver detailed data to the academic and engineering communities to use in the development of new foundation design codes.You will:

  • Design, develop and implement the construction of novel testing solutions that achieve the demands of clients
  • Work with the Technical Operations Manager to integrate all components in to the system architecture
  • Set up hydraulic and electronic equipment on site before commencing testing schedule as directed by our clients
  • Carry out fault finding and mitigation of unexpected outputs.
  • About you:We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
  • A Bachelors degree of RQF L5 equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Experience of working with instrumentation, electronic and/or hydraulic systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a pragmatic approach and the ability to follow strict standards
  • High competency working with IT systems
  • A sound understanding of mechanical systems.
