Are you a hands on individual with the ability to take on a creative approach to problem solvingWe have an exciting opportunity to join our clients manufacturing business as a Health and Safety Manager!The successful candidate will support the group in all aspects of Health & Safety. This role will suit someone with who has experience in Health and Safety and quality assurance . If you are someone who is looking to further develop their career this couldbe a great opportunity for you .The ideal candidate will have the following skills :

Ideally an electronics / electrical manufacturing background.
Understanding of latest ISO Management Systems to ensure compliance.
Auditing qualified.
Experience in managing a Health & Safety function.

Duties include:

Working with the Senior Management Team to ensure the Company complies to H&S legislation / regulations, providing advice & guidance where necessary.

Carry out all accident investigations and provide information to HR Manager as required in respect of PI claims.

Carry out H&S inductions for all new starters.

Carry out PPE assessments, order & issue PPE to workforce.

Organise health surveillance medicals.

Carry out all risk assessments including COSHH / MSDS.

Co-ordinate and organise legislative training as required, ie: Forklift, First Aid, Crane, Lifting & Manual Handling etc.

Arrange air monitoring, LEV testing and noise surveys as necessary.

In conjunction with the Maintenance Department ensure all H&S / Maintenance servicing and inspections are carried out and logged accordingly. Includes (but is not limited to) fire extinguishers, security alarms, boiler, compressors, PUWERetc

Work with all Departments in an integrated manner to help improve and sustain all aspects of Quality, H&S and Environmental aspects of the business.
