Job Description

Intervention Worker - Children with Disabilities Team - DroylsdenAre you a passionate, dedicatedIntervention Worker looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting anIntervention Worker to join a Children with Disabilities Team based in Tameside.Umbrella Rate: £19.14 - £20.86 per hourDuration: 2 months initiallyHours: 3 days/ week, 9am – 3pm, 18 hrs/week – Hybrid (office, direct work in the community and home working)Intervention Worker role:Full JD Available

  • Direct work with children with disabilities and their families
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of the children
  • Carry out assessments of need at early intervention
  • Looking at assessments and putting care plans in place where necessary
  • Co-ordinate service provision to meet the needs of those children
  • Carry out reviews and visits
  • Engage parents, carers and children in meaningful and open working relationships, to encourage their full participation in meeting the needs of the children
  • Support the development of parents and carers as required in order to achieve best outcomes
  • Provide practical and emotional support where necessary
  • Undertake such work jointly within a multi-disciplinary team and from other agencies
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Maintain up-to-date records on all work carried out
  • Prepare and present information (both written and oral) to panels, and other agencies
  • Attend all regular supervision sessions with the Manager as required
Essential Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Experience in working with children with complex care needs
  • Skills in needs assessment and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of safeguarding / child protection
  • Understanding of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Children and Adoption Act 2002, Working Together
  • Experience in joint working arrangements with other agencies
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
