Job Description

Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, youll be at the forefront of creating an exceptional visitor programme for the property. What its like to work here As part of a Visitor Experience team of 5, youll be driving the programme of the whole property forward to ensure a high quality offer all year round, increasing visits for our existing and new audiences. This is a busy, forward-thinking property and theteam is looking for engaging people who will enjoy this fast-paced environment.Hardwick Hall is one of the most impressive Elizabethan buildings in the country. Celebrated internationally, the team here works hard to care for the astonishing artefacts, including on of the finest collections of tapestries in Europe. What youll be doing As the Programming and Partnership Officer, youll be an ambassador for the Trust sharing our values and working as a team to link everything we do back to our cause. Youll co-create a year-round visitor programme with the rest of the property, deliveringengaging activities and stories about the amazing work were doing and what supporter donations are funding, promoting local projects and our national strategy. As part of the Visitor Experience team youll help us offer a diverse and engaging annual programmeof activities, including our Winter Light Nights, Easter egg hunts and other family activities. Were looking for someone creative and innovative to evolve our programme to encourage repeat and new visits, as well as fitting in with our Spirit of Place. Who were looking for To deliver this role successfully, youll need:

  • Experience in delivering visitor programmes and/or working with community or commercial partners to deliver events and activities with audiences
  • Experience of delivering projects or activities
  • Experience of business and/or audience development, in particular using feedback to improve and develop an offer, connecting people with art, culture, nature, heritage and the outdoors ensuring these assets deliver more benefit to audiences
  • Flexible customer focused approach with experience in delivering high standards of customer service
  • A collaborative, empathic approachable to adapt your plans and style to the needs of partners, team members and audiences
  • Good people skills, enabling effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
