Job Description

My client is a really exciting street food organisation, who are passionate about food and people and are looking for someone to match their levels. They are looking for a sparky General Manager to join their team at their ExCel London site.They are looking for someone who has previous experience working in large arenas, or even within the food stall industry. You must also have a solid experience working within operations.Theyre a young brand and want someone who can come in and support theirteam and operations, by liaising with the food trucks, stakeholders, clients and customers.Finding someone who fits in with their vibe is really important, they are looking for someone with passion, whilst also understanding operations. If you love food, have a keen eye for detail and experience in operations, this is the role for you.Who you are:

  • Have 3-5 years experience working within venues, ideally in the retail hospitality sector, or for a contract catering company
  • Experience of working in a multi-unit environment
  • 35 years of account management experience, including a proven track record for exceeding client expectations
  • An understanding of the current London-based events and catering industry
  • Experience manging an on-site team, including freelance staff
  • Knowledge of food Health & Safety
  • Passion about food and top-level service, dedicated to delivering the highest possible standards
  • Agile, enthusiastic, and confident in upholding top-quality standards
  • Proactive self-starter with lots of initiative
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to talk to clients and traders in a consultative manner and developing long-term relationships
  • A keen eye for detail and to deliver at the highest standards
  • You are passionate about food, events and working with small businesses
  • Interest in the independent food industry and wider food scene in London
  • Outstanding hustle
What youll do:
  • Take complete ownership of the site
  • Manage the independent food traders who provide retail catering
  • Be the main point of contact for all food traders and managing the businesses on-site. Including regular check-ins and monthly performance reviews
  • Ensure the traders are complying with the expectations that are set out for them, in terms of quality, customer service and compliance
  • Be the main point of contact for the partners and clients
  • Understand the businesses and monitor and support them, by improving their overall performance, levels of customer service, sales growth and compliance
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the coffee and bar units, ensuringquality, customer service and compliance are met
  • UpholdHealth & Safety standards, by effectively managing all food, bar and coffee H&S on-site to include document management and on-site audits, whilst working closely with the dedicated H&S manager
  • Manage the overall on-site logistics, including but not exclusively, waste, cleaning, clearing, deliveries
  • Management of an on-site team to include the Retail Operations Manager, Retail Sales Manager, Back of House Manager and a Bar & Cafe Manager and their respective team
  • Ensuring that all revenue and targets are met
  • Working with the staffing partneron hiring, booking and training of any casual staff
  • Creating and implementing new systems to create best working practices
