Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Finance AnalystLocation: London (West Ham)Basic salary: £185p/d - £225p/dType: contract - six monthsOpportunity:A forward thinking and expanding company with an instantly recognisable brand is recruiting for a Contract Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team for a minimum 6 month. The role is based in London with a flexi hybrid approach (Near West Ham). Thisrole will focus on assisting the Head of Finance in providing the financial analysis required to support quality commercial decisions across operations, engineering and other business areas.Attributes required:

  • Have experience of financial analysis ideally in a commercial finance environment
  • Be a Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or AAT qualified
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft Excel and proven ability to analyse data and provide commentary
Responsibilities:
  • Support the leadership teams in analysing and reporting the financial performance of the functions
  • Evaluate new plans, initiatives and contract changes to ensure that all major decisions are taken with sufficient understanding of their financial consequences
  • Analyse tender award impact e.g. tender wins/losses by clearly identifying direct, indirect and fixed costs of the business
  • Model opportunities and risks for decision making looking at scenarios that cover different areas and their impacts
  • Create meaningful cost drivers in the form of KPIs metrics for weekly monitoring and focus
  • Assist with quarterly monitoring of Tender bid v Actual
  • Provide business unit profitability reporting
  • Work to improve better variance analysis across the department
