Job Description

Salary:Up to £45,000Job Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation: Head Office - West DidsburyBenefits: Competitive pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans for public transport plus much more.You will have a key role in supporting Great Places’ corporate plan and asset management strategy by helping us to deliver carbon investment improvements to a wide range of our customers’ homes. You will be the person responsible for carrying out retrofitassessments in our homes, including those in our Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 2 project, specifying the most suitable and efficient carbon improvement works for the benefits of our customers.What you’ll need:

  • Arranging and attending appointments with customers to carry out carbon/retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035.
  • Producing specifications for domestic buildings, analysing data to identify areas for improvement, and the creation of costed delivery plans to achieve internal and external carbon targets.
  • Manage data quality to produce technical reports for business needs to support funding bid submissions.
  • Producing energy performance reports and energy performance certificates.
  • Supporting the Retrofit Surveyor in coordinating the delivery of carbon investment works by external contractors, ensuring the works meet the requirements of PAS 2035 in full.
  • Supporting the Retrofit Surveyor in project meetings with external contractors and internal colleagues to review progress against project timelines.
  • Ensuring that Great Places’ systems and data are kept up to date to reflect works carried out and to assist with statistical returns to Government where necessary.
  • Support the delivery of our Carbon Reduction Strategy.
What we need from you:
  • Experience of producing carbon/retrofit assessments in accordance with PAS 2035.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in social housing.
  • Experience of delivering high levels of service to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good ability in the use of all Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Desirable knowledge of decarbonisation retrofit home improvements.
  • Experience of partnership working.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure.
  • Empathy with our tenants and residents and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
